While working with Kelly Scanlon Designs (KSID), you can expect the design process and client experience to be  seamless, engaging and hopefully FUN! Our experience has shown us that knowledge of standard procedures  helps clients feel comfortable for the duration of the project. Also throughout the entire process, we will stay in  close communication during each phase to ensure you are aware of all aspects of your project.

What’s About To Start Happening

I) Project Launch 

• READY SET GO: Now that you’re on board, we will schedule a time with you when we can gather measurements,  take photographs and clarify the scope. This is also a great time to touch on budget, and discuss any loose ends.  ◊ COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION: Time to share any Houzz Ideabooks, Pinterest boards or magazine  clippings you’ve been gathering while dreaming about your end goals.  

II) Concept & Design Development 

• DESIGN: After several weeks the design concept begins to come to life within the walls of KSID (we’ll be in  communication during this time, we promise!). We roll up our sleeves and get to it with CAD plans in the areas of  the scope, as well as sourcing the best, most relevant materials for your project, as laid out in your contracted  scope.

• EDIT & REFINE: We spend weeks editing and personalizing so that we bring you only the BEST of what is out  there. We’ve narrowed down your options on all design elements and overall plan as only experts can! ◊ This is the part when you’ll get antsy and want to know what is happening! Everyone does. We will be in  touch with regular updates…This is also the time when you need to TRUST in the expertise you’ve  enlisted. SPARE yourself the rabbit hole of the internet looking for something yourself. WE get you, and  we got this! 

• NETWORK: During this phase, we will also reach out to the other parties involved in your project such as the  architect, A/V specialist, the contractor and sub-contractors to begin compiling additional labor quotes like  electrical, structural, etc. if that is a part of our recommendation. 

• DESIGN PRESENTATION at your home or in The Studio - Now we’re having fun! 

III) Project Management 

• After our presentation and your verbal approvals, we will send a design proposal for final approval with final  plans, final visual aids and the costs of chosen items. 

• We work closely with all parties to make sure the construction is well coordinated and on track with the design  plan. 

IV) Procurement 

• Once we receive your approved proposals and deposits, we initiate orders and payments with venders. ◊ We will communicate with all vendors regarding specifications, ordering, expediting, quality inspections,  coordination and timely delivery or installation in your home.  

V) Installation & Styling 

• This is where the magic starts to happen! During this phase, your vision begins to come to life. We will  coordinate the details with all relevant parties including delivery, installation and final placement as specified.  ◊ If part of your contracted scope (even if not, we can add it in!), we style/finesse all the details. At this point, if we  haven’t already, we will work with you on art, décor, etc dealing with bookshelves, console tables, bare walls etc. ◊ We will also walk you through your space and all aspects of the design now that the vision has been realized and  your space is completed to perfection. It is now your space to enjoy!
